Falling Falling Series Book 1 eBook Tate Layman Reviews
This book was okay but I thought the male character was a little weak. It was unbecoming. It's a bland story, nothing too special about it but it was a fast read. Basically, it's two dollars for a reason people.
I am giving this a one star for the plot and the storyline was too boring. She was spineless and the secondary characters were more interesting to me. There was no pull to the story. Just boring and you read more about her family issues until the last three chapters. Not captivating with some grammar errors that was distracting. Wasted reading really. Don't recommend this book.
I thought the book was enjoyable to read, I give it a five for there was some parts like
' I noticed Erin is smiling really big, but I see that a piece of food is stuck in her braces. It's just so sad'
This was the comedy of the heroine I was dieying laughing she's a hoot both of them are!
It's was funny and there are parts I cried for her. All in all I enjoyed reading it, I just wish there's more toward the ending
I'm on a bit of a YA fix right now. This book was sweet, very predictable, but cute and heart warming. The writer, whom I have never read or heard of before, was good, and I did not notice any editing problems. I thought the first half was really good, but then it got a little too sweet towards the end, but I still gave it four stars. It is a quick read, so if you have a lazy afternoon ahead of you, this is a great book to curl up to.
This was such a good book and I really enjoyed it! I loved Abby's character and I loved how the author captured the true essence of high school and relationships. Allie was such a good best friend and well written character also along with all the other characters in this book. Connor was such a boy and the author captured the ways of typical teenage boys and how their emotions are all over the place. Even being understanding of typical boys and their behavior I took away a star for what happen and what was said at the fair. THAT I couldn't get over no matter the explanation that Connor gave to Abby as his excuse. I liked the relationship development between Abby and______ I liked the ending and I liked how Abby and _______ came to be. The bond between me the reader and the character was present as well as the character development. In my opinion I say get this book it is well worth the money and I would recommend it to everyone.
I wish it was longer. This was a story I didn't want to end. It had really well-written characters. It's a good growing up and seeing something that's been right in front of you this whole time, sort of story. Conner is really sweet and attractive (personality-wise... haha although in looks too). He and Abby have great chemistry. She has klutzy habits that are always getting her collide (in more ways than one), with Conner. Of course, when he notices Abby, during a night of scary movie watching with his sister... he has a current girlfriend. So there is a touch of drama, but what I liked was nothing in this book was over the top or too dramatic. It was really authentic. Conner is the type of guy who would always have your back and would do anything for you to smile. I recommend if you're looking for a sweet, giggle-inducing, love story.
4.5 stars
I absolutely adored this quick book because I love when a hero messes up and has to grovel for forgiveness.
Abby always had a crush on her bestie's older brother, Connor, but one day she hears what he really thinks of her and it shatters her young heart. Unfortunately for Connor, he realizes too late that maybe Abby isn't just his sister's nerdy best friend after all.
I would love to see what happens next )
I liked it in general but there were some things that bothered me. One of those things was at the Fall Festival when he bad mouths Abby to his jealous g/f. Why would she listen to his apology?? Even if he was confused about his feelings, Abby was still a friend for the past 6 years. I would not forgive him because he still said bad things about her. He then continued to date the harpy even after his sister and Abby both said how she was towards people. He does not seem to have good common sense. He really made me mad circling around her. I actually thought that he had had feelings for Abby for a long time, but at the big "reveal" at the end, he says he only started getting confused when she started dating his friend. I thought that they had feelings for each other from the word go but apparently not. Also, he apparently is a womanizer so why would she think that he will be with her longer than any other girl?? There were just stupid issues like that that were bugging me. I wish he was a slightly better hero because he berated her for not standing up for herself and keeping her feelings from him when he kept his from her.
Definitely a young adult book, but a good story with growing up and loving your best friends brother and hoping for the best.
